Dear ,
You Can’t Please Everyone…..
Without a doubt we are faced with making multiple decisions everyday. Some are simple, obvious and easy while others tend to bring a lot of attention, feedback, support and even negativity. This past week the Chamber had to make a decision that was good for the organization but the result was that an event had to be cancelled. We have all been there…the place where you know you have to make the decision, you know it could be unpopular yet you know it’s the right decision for your company.

The Rice Box Gives BIG!
On Thursday April 30,Sun FM's Have a Heart Radiothon was incredible! The annual fundraiser gathered more than $46,000 for the maternal child ward at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Many chamber members showed their hearts and donated, including The Rice Box who donated all of their days revenue, including donated wages from the staff. The Radiothon received from more than $4,000 the Rice Box. The other 50% of the revenue went towards the Cambodian Support Group. Thanks On and all the staff at the Rice Box and Sun FM for giving the community the opportunity to give.

Chamber Trivia
Vernon Business Mens Association June 17, 1929
"A properly conducted credit business can do twice as much business as one run on a cash basis. The cry today is not less credit but more intelligent credit. The great weakness in credit is where a merchant fails to insist on all customers keeping their accounts within their credit limit and payment of accounts made promptly every month."
