Chamber Trivia

Vernon Board of Trade - Business Men's Bureau
January 25th, 1945 ...discussing the subject of store hours, with particular reference to the confusion and uncertainty in the minds of the public, as to when, and what stores were open for business, this resulting in the lack of uniformity now prevailing. It was unanimously agreed that this situation is unsatisfactory in the extreme, and is one that will inevitably react to the detriment of retail merchants generally, particularly during post-war period, when competition will be keen and customer good will restored to its prewar value.

Original minutes from 1929 to 1949 are available for limited viewing at the Chamber office.
